As a sequel GH two picks up & improves upon almost every aspect of the original. Co-op mode was a great idea, and there's a better mix of genre or decade songs than the original. The game offers a few genuinely challenging songs and is for the most part more difficult than the original. However for those, like me, who played GH3 first and wanted to try something else in the series GH2 is a lot easier.
Guitar Hero 2 for Xbox 36010/26/2008
The graphics are lame on this game. There are no additional downloads available. The button you must use for star power on controller is very awkward to achieve while also playing the notes. I'd say skip this version and buy GH3

I ordered Guitar Hero II (XBox 360) for my 20-yr-old son for Christmas through Buy.com's website. Fast and free shipping made this purchase worthwile in itself. However, the product ROCKS! We truly enjoyed playing Guitar Hero II for hours on end... beating the whole game. Yes, even me... the mom! The game absolutely stimulates one's creative mind requiring coordination and good finger dexterity at all levels. We liked it so much, we also bought Guitar Hero III.
