We wore out the VHS...11/26/2002
I am purchasing this movie again because our VHS is worn out. My husband is in the computer field and is a HUGE fan of this movie. He watches it at least twice a month. It is a fun movie and is really interesting. I love the characters and even though I am not that into computers..it still grasps my attention. I would recommend it to anyone.
To all those out there curious about computers this movie is a MUST HAVE! I believe every person in the U.S. should sit down in front of the tube once in a while and pop in Hackers! Are the things he does on his computer fake or real? Anything's possible......;) Hope this review helps you make a decision on this great flick! Enjoy!
THIS MOVIE RULES!!2/18/2000
THIS MOVIE MAY BE FARFETCHED WITH SOME OF THE COMPUTER SCENES, BUT IT IS VERY ENTERTAINING AND I WILL NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING IT. VERY WITTY!!
Wondering what that means? Well then just watch the movie and find out. Even though some of the computer lingo is not 100% correct. Who CAREZ! This movie is still the most addictive movie i have ever seen. If your a computer person who wonders what kind of cool things can be done. Well get up and buy this awesome movie. This is more than a movie. Its an experience.
Classic cheesy computer movie1/18/2000
This movie is a great classic as to how things in the computer world don't really work. But that by all means does not make this a bad movie, I do own it, and I love it. I have seen it about 100 times and it's still a great movie. It's great for those who are not technologically inclined and even better for those who are (comical value). Overall I would recomend this movie, it's good!
Another in the greats of computer movies12/29/1999
This is the best computer movie out. It is a wonderfully inacurate movie about teenage computer hackers. Don't get me wrong I loved it, but don't expect to take up hacking and it be anything like in the movie. At least it has a good message... Hackers aren't necessarily the bad guys.
Ties with the matrix as my favorite movie. Even better on DVD and in widescreen format.
Why stop at watching it only once?!?!?9/22/1999
I've seen it SO many times, yet I will continue to watch it a million more. Now on DVD, a whole new reason to watch it 200 more times. Odly enuf I do not get bored with this movie. ~Trent
ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER MADE!7/9/1999
If you have ANY interest in computers at all, see this movie . . .NOW!!! A cool, if farfetched plotline that is total and 100% pure entertainment guaranteed to let you have a good time! Also, if you're a guy, the girl in the movie is pretty hot and, for you gals, the guys aren't that bad either!
Another lesser known comedy6/27/1999
Comedy? Hackers?! Amazingly, YES. This movie is filled with unending amounts of technical blunders and fantasies that only a few kinds of people would appreciate: a Hollywood producer and their victims - the unknowing masses who are unfamiliar with technology. Watch this movie only if you want to make yourself that much less intelligent.
