Author Bio
Belva Plain
Belva Plain wrote her first book, "Evergreen", at the age of 59. While she had been mulling over the idea of writing a novel for a long time, she finally decided to take the plunge after her children began asking her about their family history. Once Plain had become a grandmother, she realized the merit in passing on tradition and making sure that the past remained alive. "Evergreen", a story about a Jewish immigrant who rises from rags to riches, touches on the familiar themes of love and family that she would continue to explore in subsequent best-selling novels.
