Author Bio
Jose Aruego
Jose Aruego first began illustrating children's books in 1969 after moving to the U.S. from the Philippines to attend New York's Parsons School of Design. In addition to illustrating his own stories, Areugo also illustrates the work of other authors such as Mirra Ginsburg and Robert Kraus. Aruego created many of his illustrations in collaboration with his wife, Ariane Dewey. Although he and Dewey have divorced, they continue to work together.
