Editor's NoteThis set from the politically astute anime series HETALIA AXIS POWERS includes episodes 28-52 of the show, presenting each of the major powers in the world as characters on a reality show - from the shy Japanese guy, to the passionate Italian. Each character both satirizes stereotypes about their home country, and challenges preconceived notions about nationhood and politics.
Customer Reviews of Hetalia-Season Two
Here comes season 2 and like the cover suggests, focuses more on the Allied Nations America, England/Britain, Russia, France and China. This season is all over the place in comparison to season 1 jumping from the modern era and the past constantly. Fortunately the narrator does bring up the timeline when brought up and you can tell what timeline a character is in this season by the way they dress or the way they act. Only 2 episodes are considered serious in this season while the rest are gags and cute moments. If I were to name the main timelines it were to jump, it would be WWII, the 12-15th century (I have no idea but it's when England first takes America as his little brother) and mainly the modern era. This season introduces new nations such as Greece (who appears more in season 3), Belarus and Ukraine as well as explaining Switzerland and Liechtenstein's backstory as well as expanding on the tragic relationship that America and England had (it was elaborated on in season 1 but with flashbacks of when America is a kid continues to explain how they were before the American Revolution episodes). Another good season and given it's cheap with another 26 episodes, its worth the buy.
