Editor's NoteAs a creation of BRICK LANE and SEX TRAFFIC screenwriter Abi Morgan - with a cast that includes Ben Whishaw, Romola Garai and Dominic West - the UK thriller series THE HOUR takes place in 1956 London, and follows the ins and outs of a deadly conspiracy. At the center of the drama is Line Grove Studios, an arm of the BBC, which has just created a topical news program entitled THE HOUR. The central characters include the mysterious producer Bel Rowley, struggling to assert herself in a world dominated and driven by men; her closest friend, the impassioned reporter Freddie Lyon, and ingratiating front man Hector Madden. As the two begin to work together, the three broadcast journalists get caught up in a sticky web of politics, romance, double-crosses and murder. This box set contains the first six episodes of the program that comprise Series One (2011).
