Hoyer Black Lady / Hoyer White Lady. At first glance the Hoyer Ladies, which were first introduced at the end of the 70s, resembled in appearance American standard models. However, on closer inspection they differ in all dimensions, radii, scale, design, materials, and method of assembly. Hence the sound and playability is completely different. The Ladies shared the same basic construction with other Hoyer models introduced in the late 70s and early 80s - multilayer through neck with mahogany wings. Like all Hoyer guitars they have a scale of 630mm. Very characteristic are the zebra bindings of the body, neck and headstock. Originally they were equipped with single coils but are now equipped with two Humbuckers. The Black Lady shot to fame in the 80s. During the same period many Custom Shop variations were built based on the Lady featuring honey burst colour and different pickup configurations.
