Printhead solves fuzzy printing problem
Although we are accustomed to replacing print cartridges on a regular basis, we sometimes forget to routinely replace printheads. When our print jobs are not as clear as usual, we first run the "align printheads" software that comes with our printer. If that doesn't improve output enough, then we know it's time to order a new printhead. In the case of the color black, we see that black text prints all fuzzy and/or streaky like the lines on a zebra. After installing a new printhead, which takes about 30 seconds, the problem is immediately solved. We've never had a problem with an HP Printhead installation, and they always last longer than expected. Of course, we always replace all the printer's printheads at once, to avoid poor printing in the other colors later, but it isn't necessary to do so.
