Typical HP printer3/1/2012
I have never like the HP software that comes with their printers. This one is no exception. Had difficulty setting up the wireless but it did work. Just give us the damn driver and leave us alone.
this is awsome
Beware Router Model1/10/2011
Easy set-up, great pics and docs. Had to call 800 number because printer did not function as wireless. Found out my router, Actiontec M1424WR cannot identify printer Advised that Kodak working with Actiontec to revise this issue. Was very disappointed but works grast with USB cable.
Good Printer, minor issues.1/8/2011
This does a good job of printing, but is a bit noisy. It also seems to have to go through a prolonged warmup for the first document. It's a little complicated to get it set up to do wireless. Otherwise, it's a great printer at a very good price.
Problems with some documents12/26/2010
This printer seemed to be a great value - priced at less than the cost of new cartridges. Once installed, it works well with most tasks, including duplexing, although rather noisy. However, there were problems installing on my Mac, and once it was in there were problems getting it to print documents where content went beyond standard margins. Docs that would print on other printers would cut off the last two lines on this printer, despite hours on the phone with tech support. Since I have marketing materials that extend to these margins, I will be trying a different model to see it that will work.
Network setup can be a bear12/5/2010
Good luck if you're using AVG Internet Security. HP's installer software can't configure the AVG firewall to open the necessary ports, so you need to do this manually. Unfortunately, AVG seems to change the firewall setup with each new version, and the documentation is poor. HP's "support" forum offers this advice: "just disable the firewall - you don't need it if you have a router". Yeah, right. BTW, HP's "imaging monitor" software communicates incessantly with the printer using SNMP. This may hurt battery life on a laptop.
very easy to set up quality looks good12/3/2010
While we haven't used it much yet - the ease in setup of this item can't be beat, both for the printing itself as well as the wireless use - it's great!
Works just fine and the price was right10/30/2010
I purchased this printer because I wanted more than 1 computer in my house to be able to print. The price was great, the 2 sided printing feature was good, and it's wireless. I used Windows Vista to setup the printer, and it was very easy to do. I have a laptop with linux (fedora 12) installed, and it found the network printer without any trouble. It is a bit noisy when you print but for under $100 I can live with that.
Good for the money10/1/2010
I have had it for over a month. It is a tad noisy, but it prints fine and it caught my wireless signal immediately. BTW, Mac OS 10.5.8.
