Ease of Use

Okay Printer, bad software

by A customer on 12/27/2010

I bought this printer for picture scanning and home printing with very light use of the printer but heavy use of the scanner. Hardware quality is good and the scan quality is good. But the wirelss connectivity for scanning is extremely slow and half the time it doesn't work. They install four icons on your desktop filled with junky, useless, marketing weblinks. You can't tell which one is your application to control the printer which one is marketing link. Overall the bad software offsets any other advantage this printer might have. The tablet is only partly functional and it takes for ever to boot. Overall, good printer quality and good scan quality but very hard and slow to use due to poor software. Read More

Great printer

by WPBteacher2 on 12/28/2010

You won't find an easier printer to set up. The wireless couldn't be any easier. It does all the work and you click on or two buttons that is it! Having some problems with the widgets, going to have to call HP, but the detachable tablet is very cool! Love being able to print wirelessly. Prize is great at $270, which I paid 2 weeks ago!
