It looks like a good educational toy for my nephew, I was surprised about the small size of the box but I'm sure he'll find it interesting. Can't comment too much about the item because it's a Christams present.
Item looked good in pictures, but quality was far below expectations.
Small parts that no child can play with it.
Difficult to assemble, can break if not careful.
Parts do not fit together nicely, it takes an engineer to make them work smoothly.
Very small and unclear instructions.
This is just too complicated to put together for me. The solar module must be assembled and when I finished, the shaft would not turn so I don't know if it works. I honestly did not know it would take so much time to just put the tiny pieces (and I mean TINY pieces) together. The picture looks good though.
I bought 2 kits for my son/random kid's parties as an educational gift. We tried to turn the kit into "the car." What followed was about 1 hour of pain. 1. Parts are very small 2. Parts do not fit together well 3. Motor/solar cell combo lacks the strength to turn the wheels under load. I would NOT buy this again. I used both kits to see if I had a defective one-nope both were bad.
Learn about solar energy while having fun. No batteries or tools are required to build the six different models in the Solar-Powered Educational Kit. Easy to build, the kit demonstrates the science of solar power. There's a solar powered puppy, 2 different planes, an airboat and more that can be created from the kit. The fun assembly is sure to get your child thinking about the various applications of solar energy and what else the sun's rays can power.
