| In the 80's they said love was a battlefield, they were right. It's 1987 in bayonne nj. The bars are full and smoky, and two old friends are out looking for a good time. What they don't understand is that while they are looking for the kind of love they write in songs, these guys are only in it for one night. |

Editor's Note
A pair of Jersey girls wander through the singles bar scene of the New York City suburb of Bayonne. As they seek lasting relationships amidst the smoky dive bars and Springsteen songs, Debby (Uma Thurman) and Beth (Juliette Lewis) begin to understand that love isn't like the pop songs that are played on the jukeboxes. The men these two women find are interested in shorter term commitments. Directed by Mira Nair (MONSOON WEDDING), this cable original earned Uma Thurman a Golden Globe for her performance.
