San Francisco Chronicle 5 of 10
[I Still Know] I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is a sequel to and retread of last year's -- ah, the hell with it. It's standard slasher fare but has its moments. Still may be no great shakes as a movie but good for a goof-off by audiences with lowered expectations. I'm sorry to admit that I did not see I Know What You Did Last Summer, a huge horror hit, but that may not be a handicap. The disc jockey at the radio promotional screening for this sequel said the scene in which Jennifer Love Hewitt dares the killer to come and get her is just like the scene in which she dares the killer to come and get her in the first one, so apparently I haven't missed much. Part of the appeal of Still is guessing which of them will get it this time, not to mention the creepy staff of the hotel where they're staying. It sure beats paying much attention to the horror-movie cliches, red herrings and misfiring humor. - Bob Graham

USA Today 6 of 10
[I Know] I Know What You Did Last Summer: ...craft counts for something, and this emotionally bleak thriller is fairly well-directed (Jim Gillespie), impressively shot (Denis Crossnan) and performed in frenzied style by a youngish cast still carrying actors' learning permits. - Mike Clark
