"Suspense devotees will rejoice" ("Library Journal Express") as bestselling author Clark tackles a most up-to-date crime: identity theft.
Annotation:
Mary Higgins Clark turns her classic mystery-suspense skills on the tabloid topping crime of identity theft in I'LL WALK ALONE. Alexandra Moreland, known to her friends as Zan, lost her young son several years before. He was snatched away from her in Central Park. Now someone wants her identity, as well--and to frame her for the murder of someone she has never known. This woman must find every ounce of strength within herself in order to fight to keep her life her own.
Author Bio
Mary Higgins Clark
Mary Higgins Clark grew up in a Catholic household in the Bronx. Her life has been marked by several traumatic losses; her father, when she was 10, and later, her husband of 15 years. Left with five children to support, Clark turned to writing. She soon mastered the suspense novel, and won international acclaim as a recipient of the Grand Prix de Literature Policiere. Clark is active in literacy education as well as a number of historical and literary associations, including the American Irish Historical Society, the Mystery Writers of America, and the International Crime Writers Congress.

Praise

"There's nobody like Clark to nail the combination of a fast-paced chase, terror, heartache and revelations in an excruciatingly complicated puzzle that doesn't fall into place until the last shocking pages." - Pat Cooper 04/24/2011
