After a lot of research on the web and at local stores, it seems most (cheap to expensive) FM transmitters will have some problems with getting &/or maintaining a static-free transmission. Since this was a non essential toy gadget, I decided not to spend a lot of money, but without getting the absolute cheapest non brand model. I picked the 410FM because of mostly favorable reviews (above 50%), name (I-Rock), features (small size, 10 FM frequencies, included car adapter) and price (fifteen bucks). I am quite pleased with my decision, and so far it works fine (I tested it at home and in the car). I am using it with my Creative MuVo MP3 player and time will tell about its durability. I will admit I wanted the Cables-To-Go Authority model, which was bigger and had more frequencies, but I waited too long and passed on a good deal (same fifteen bucks after rebate). Still, I would definitely recommend the IRock 410FM. In the Phoenix area, I use 88.9 FM. Hope this helps.
