My husband and I were on our honeymoon in March when this movie was out. We went to a theatre near where we were to see ET but it wasn't going to be out until the next day. So, we decided to watch Ice Age. Oh my gosh, we both laughed so hard, our stomachs cramped. There were so many points in the movie where there was unexpected humor that was just out of this world. Our first comments as we were leaving was that we were getting this movie as soon as it was relased. We highly recommend this movie for kids of all ages. Everyone in the theatre enjoyed the movie and laughed just as loud as we did!! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!! Dawnster

If you've seen the trailers for this movie, you have a pretty good idea of the hilarious parts of Ice Age. Scrat (imagine a rat with a big bushy tail) desperately attempts to bury what might be the last acorn in existence; his tribulations are captured in what might be the nicest tribute to Chuck Jones ever filmed. The trailer had my fiancee and I rolling with laughter, and we looked forward to the theatrical release. Basically, you have The Adventures Of Scrat, and then you have a mammoth, a saber-toothed tiger, and a weasel schlepping a human baby around (a plot which has been sort of beaten into the ground of late). Saving graces -- the voices and animations are done very well and the movie does capture your interest. Do see "Ice Age" -- you adults who remember Bugs and Roadrunner will howl over Scrat, and your kids will like the rest of the movie.

Editors Note
Note A star-studded cast provides the voices for the prehistoric creatures in this computer-animated feature set 20,000 years ago as the Ice Age approaches. Seemingly anti-social Manny, a woolly mammoth (voiced by Ray Romano), acts as if he just wants to be left alone. When he meets Sid (voiced by John Leguizamo), a sloth, the two become unlikely traveling companions. The plot thickens when the duo finds a human infant and decides to try to return the child to its "herd." Manny slowly but surely reveals his heart of gold, while Sid continues to provide comic relief. Diego (voiced by Denis Leary), a saber-tooth tiger with ulterior motives, soon joins them in their search for the humans. Ultimately, this group of misfits becomes its own herd, learning about friendship and loyalty as they brave snow, ice, freezing temperatures, predators, hail, and even boiling lava pits. All the while, a saber-tooth squirrel, Scat, provides comic relief as he valiantly struggles with an acorn. A well-written, humorous script and endearing characters mesh well with the state-of-the-art technology and effects. Other stars lending their voices to the feature include Goran Visnjic, Jack Black, and Jane Krakowski.

Review Ice Age may be set to below freezing, but it'll warm the coldest hearts in the room. This digitally animated movie, filled with a cast of charming, funny critters from long ago, is family entertainment at its most bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Pull your kids away from their video games. They'll love it. Better yet, so will you

Review ...I came to scoff and stayed to smile... Peter Ackerman's screenplay is sly and literate, and director Chris Wedge's visual style so distinctive and appealing that the movie seduced me.
