LAUGHING ON PLANES WITH FRIENDS!12/5/2002
The in flight movie coming back from New Mexico was Ice Age. The trailers looked funny so I decided to blow $10.00 for 2 headsets. Have you ever tried not to laugh hysterically while still trying not to be loud? This movie had us crying it was so funny. People kept tapping our shoulders asking if they could listen for a second because it sounded like so much fun. If you have a sense of humor, you will roll on the floor. The Mammoth is so cute and the Sabertooth is so sarcastic. This was the best $10.00 I have ever spent. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 15!!!
Worth seeing worth owning10/16/2002
I saw the trailers a couple of months before its release, fortunately my cousin has 3 kids, so I took my laptop so they could see all 3 trailers from the movie, I had them all trilled with it, and was one of the first ones in line for the premiere on march, I just had to see it and my cousins kids where a perfect excuse to go see it, and I’m just waiting for the DVD release to get it, you can’t get enough Scrat!!! Get ready to laugh till you can’t take it anymore
I was upstaged by a WHAT?9/16/2002
If you've seen the trailers for this movie, you have a pretty good idea of the hilarious parts of Ice Age. Scrat (imagine a rat with a big bushy tail) desperately attempts to bury what might be the last acorn in existence; his tribulations are captured in what might be the nicest tribute to Chuck Jones ever filmed. The trailer had my fiancee and I rolling with laughter, and we looked forward to the theatrical release. Basically, you have The Adventures Of Scrat, and then you have a mammoth, a saber-toothed tiger, and a weasel schlepping a human baby around (a plot which has been sort of beaten into the ground of late). Saving graces -- the voices and animations are done very well and the movie does capture your interest. Do see "Ice Age" -- you adults who remember Bugs and Roadrunner will howl over Scrat, and your kids will like the rest of the movie.
A pleasant surprise9/13/2002
My husband and I were on our honeymoon in March when this movie was out. We went to a theatre near where we were to see ET but it wasn't going to be out until the next day. So, we decided to watch Ice Age. Oh my gosh, we both laughed so hard, our stomachs cramped. There were so many points in the movie where there was unexpected humor that was just out of this world. Our first comments as we were leaving was that we were getting this movie as soon as it was relased. We highly recommend this movie for kids of all ages. Everyone in the theatre enjoyed the movie and laughed just as loud as we did!! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!! Dawnster
