Product Description inFAMOUS 2 is a single player, open world game, exclusive to PlayStation 3. The second chapter in the best selling infamous franchise, this immersive adventure offers a powerful, emotional, and visceral take on being a superhero, and the choices that involves. Features include: a unique blend of electrical and melee combat abilities, epic boss battles, a new morality system allowing for two possible game endings, user generated missions and more.
Like its predecessor, inFAMOUS 2 is a single player action-adventure game set in an open world game environment. Players take on the role of Cole, the returning anti-hero from the first game. Possessing electric burst abilities through his hands Cole has matured a bit as a superhero type, being more confident and focused in his abilities. He uses these abilities, as well as improved melee possibilities to battle enemies both large and small in mission-based gameplay. Along with combat, choice remains a big part of the game, with an improved morality system that allows for two separate endings to the game, depending on the choices that Cole makes.
User Generated Content
Unlike the original game in the series, infamous 2 contains significant user generated content tools that dramatically expand gameplay possibilities. Centered around a creation tool system, this allows players to create original missions and share them with other players via PlayStation Network. These function more or less as side quests once they are accepted, adding to the player's point total, but not altering the primary mission flow and morality-based aspects of the game.

Infamous 2, players take control of Cole MacGrath. He is back for the second time, with a new look and loads of new powers. Cole is in a new city trying to power himself up in order to take on the beast that is referred to in the first Infamous. The game plays exactly like the first one. Cole has electric powers and is going to a the new location, New Marais, to acquire more powers in order to defeat the beast. This time around, Cole doesn't start off at square one as in Infamous. Instead, Cole keeps all the abilities that he has learned and starts off with a melee weapon that will aid him in the battle against the Militia, a group of people who are controlling New Marais....read the full review
Graphics-wise, there is a big time improvement over the first game, & overall the game looks great. The graphics are rendered exceptionally well, and the effects of Cole's powers never looked better. The best part of all is the new city. It looks magnificent when compared to the previous. There is a lot more activity & visual effects going on that really do make the city feel more alive. It is a major improvement over the first title I feel.
I like this series because you have the choice between being loved or being feared. Both paths to power are available, and the world around you changes based on your choices. It feels kinda "Force" like. I bought the first inFamous and really liked it.
A very good game I love its dialog and side quests. The graphics are very good and really crisp. the story is really dramatic and serious. Finally they give you other powers in the game because of your choices in the game. Like if your Good you get Ice powers and if your Bad you get Fire/oil powers/shadow powers. Get it is really cheap!
Infamous 2 is an absolutely incredible game. Not only does the game have a great story, but also has excellent gameplay that truly captures the super-hero feel. The city of New Marais has a really cool atmosphere.
The game can be challenging, but earning a Platinum trophy is definitely doable for more than just the hardcore.
UGC content isn't always great, but there are some real gems that make it worth trying out (plus greatly increases the replay value of the game).
If you have a PS3, do yourself a favor and give this series a try.
At first I thought the game was okay. Loved the 1st one a lot and didnt like that they changed Cole's character model and voice actor. Got used to it and most of the changes are positive. My biggest issues were that there were too many powers (a lot of them were useless or limited use and not needed). This caused the game pace to slow down (swapping powers). My other issue was that this game would glitch out and sometimes freeze on me. It happened to me 5 times while i played through it and that was annoying. Other than that amazing game!
I really liked the first game and this improves on the formula. It gives more powers, better graphics, and better enemies. I like playing through good and evil, but to platinum you need 2 play thru's. The story and missions will keep you going... They also added a create your own mission... The controls are about the same but they didn't need correcting... I really liked the game!
Infamous 2 is a direct continuation of Infamous. You get many of the same powers but there is more variety inside of the power categories. Gameplay is pretty much the same, since that didn't really need improving. The story is more fleshed out, you now get the feel that there are way more people with similar type powers. The story is basically X-Men 2, however that's not really a bad thing.
