| This is the newest photo paper on the market. We take an authentic smooth resin coated photo paper base and coat it with a metallic silver layer. We then apply an inkjet receiver layer over the metallic layer to make it compatible with all aqueous printers from Epson and HP. In order to provide the brilliant metallic look of the paper, we use a swellable inkjet receiver layer instead of the instant dry layers commonly used in inkjet photo papers today. The swellable inkjet receiver layers are optically clear versus the instant dry layers which are opaque. So, the trade-off is the unique metallic look of the paper that the clear layer provides versus easier handling. We chose the unique look of the paper. This photo paper can be used with either dye or pigment ink. Because of the unique base of these papers, we have been unable to create an icc profile. The profiling software assumes a white or near white base. Therefore, we recommend using one of the following driver settings: Epson: Premium semi-gloss photo paper, Premium luster photo paper; HP: Photo paper, Semi-gloss photo paper; Canon: Not recommended. This paper is not instant dry and must be handled carefully until dry. The metallic paper is susceptible to moisture, so we recommend finishing your photos with Print Shield protective coating . |
