Product Overview

Advocating a drug-free way of healing, the author explains how to master the way of the Hawaiian Shaman, using words, images, touch, and energy to treat conditions such as allergies, depressions, anxiety, and more.

From the Publisher
Much of the recent literature on healing and the body-mind connection focuses on the shaman as healer, but few authors come to the subject with a depth of personal experience and academic knowledge equal to that of Dr. Serge Kahili King. Born the son of a medical doctor, Serge King was initiated into the path of Hawaiian shamanism at age fourteen. At seventeen he was adopted by a "kupua" or shaman of the Hawaiian tradition, and at university he studied Eastern culture and philosophy. He then spent seven years in West Africa learning shamanic traditions, and, upon his return, earned an M.A. in international management and a Ph.D. in psychology.

"Some of the results may seem miraculous in view of current ideas about health and illness", Dr. King writes, "but I am not writing about miracles. This book is about practical ideas and techniques that work".

Instant Healing is organized around four modalities: healing with the power of words, healing with the power of the imagination, healing with the power of touch, and healing with the power of energy. The book contains a section on emergency techniques that you can use with a minimum of explanation, and because instant healing is not feasible for all conditions under all circumstances, you will also find methods for rapid healing (less than one day) and fast healing (less than one week).

Written in an engaging, jargon-free, and easily accessible style, Instant Healing teaches methods to heal allergies, acute anxiety, backache, burns, depression, eyestrain, flu, headaches, nausea, swelling and infection, cold sores, broken bones, cuts, bruises, and even hangovers.
