Compact Size, Big Performance
Great things come in small packages! Based on 34nm Intel NAND Flash Memory, the Intel® Solid-State Drive 310 Series offers similar performance to a 2.5" Intel Solid-State Drive (SSD), but in an eighth of the size.
The compact mSATA footprint enables dual-drive storage for traditional embedded platforms, as well as a single drive option for innovative, low-power handheld devices.
Installed on Lenovo Thinkpad E420 i5 .Windows Experience went up from 5.9 to 7.4 with this easy to install mSata SSD. IF you use any Easeus partition manager to clone or copy make sure you make your SSD Active I forgot. So what I did was remove Hdd and installed fresh recovery copy of my Preinstalled WIndows into SSD which I had copy on my cd's. then I reinstalled hdd and formatted to have the extra 500gb storage available.ps the first picture is wrong, the one without the white casing is the correct one.
This looks like it's the SSDMAEMC080G2C1, but there's an image of the 2.5" SSD. I'm guessing they've just blindly slapped an Intel SSD image up with complete disregard for what they're going to ship. If it's actually the SSDMAEMC080G2C1, then it's an mSATA drive, and looks like a mini pci-e card, no silver case, just exposed silicon and chips. Still, the wrong image made me nervous enough to decide to buy somewhere else.
