The Next Generation of SSD Caching Drives The Intel® Solid-State Drive (SSD) 313 Series (code-named Hawley Creek) has been optimized for Intel® Smart Response Technology (SRT), which improves overall system responsiveness by up to 40% vs a 7200rpm hard drive. The SSD works in parallel with a standard hard drive, a 2nd Gen CoreTM Processer, and an Intel® 7 Series Express chipset, to accelerate key OS and application data. The end user experiences near SSD performance at a lower price point than a large capacity SSD. Designed for ease-of-use, the SSD caching happens in the background – to the end user, the SSD and HDD look like one C: Drive. The Intel® SSD 313 Series Solid-State Drive requires a 2nd SATA connection normally found on DT computers; the mSATA SSD requires an mSATA connector on the motherboard. |
