Customer Reviews of Intel Xeon Dual Core E3110 3.0GHz LGA775 1333MHz FSB 6MB L2 Cache Processor
Great E8400 clone8/16/2009
This is a solid and very fast chip out of the box. E0 stepping and this chip uses little voltage and runs cool, very fast at 3ghz with a big 6mb of L2 cache. No need to overclock it since im going to use it as a server with windows server 2008 R2 x64 and dual boot with windows 7 Pro x64. Got this baby running on my ASUS P5QL/EPU board. The down side was the heatsink that came with it was a joke, just look at how small and thin it is. I had to use my qx9650 stock cooler that was lying around which is much bigger. My qx9650 already has a zalman 9700
Very nice processor4/18/2008
- Works flawlessly and runs cooler than my previous processors.
People looking for a E8400 look no further. This CPU is essentially a E8400 re branded as a server processor, it will be the same as a e8400. Make sure your mobo supports it first though. With this CPU, coupled with a 8800gt stock, I can get stable 30fps + in crysis on all high at a resolution of 1440x900. I also get a 3dmark06 score of about 12500 without over clocking anything.
Same as e84003/11/2008
Nice chip here and Identical to the e8400, in a p5k deluxe p35 motherboard it just screams. Great value as I was able to get it for $189.40 shipped from buy.com where I seem to purchase more and more lately. Much better than paying the inflated prices on the e8400 going on right now. The stock cooler isnt great I would recommend a 3rd party cooling solution.
Great processor - like E84003/11/2008
Great processor! Fast, runs cool, and works where the E8400 works. Perhaps the included heat sink and fan could be better, but it's adequate. I still use a Zalman 9500 though.
