Editor's NoteThis ABC show quickly established itself as an intriguing sci-fi thriller with a unique twist. Set in Florida, the show begins with a terrifying storm threatening the inhabitants of a small town. After the weather passes, U.S. Park Ranger Russell Varon (Eddie Cibrian) tries to pick up the pieces, but also gets some startling revelations from his daughter who believes that she has seen some mysterious lights hovering by the water as the storm raged. At first, no one pays her any attention. But then the post-storm events take some very strange turns, and Veron is forced to listen to his daughter and to begin investigating some of the eerie occurrences that beset the town. Similar in feel to the various INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS movies, INVASION is packed full of mystery and suspense. The entire first season is collected here.

Customer Reviews of Invasion-Complete Series
Series with a lot of potential that was sadly canc7/18/2011
The suspense, cinematography and acting were much better than LOST (compared since they were both on at the same time) but it started to fizzle in the second half culminating in a cliffhanger that would be very difficult to pull off without introducing an alternate universe type of story. The series starts out so spooky, suspenseful, and believable that it would give one real hesitation before entering the water (or south Florida) again! Most of the series was shot in CA though the story was based in FL (the FL scenery was quite believable and I'm a FL native). If this series were ever given a reboot, they could definitely build upon the power of the first half of the series. If you've never seen it, you will enjoy it despite my not liking the second half of the series as well as the first.
Very good sci-fi series.12/21/2007
This is a very good sci-fi series, which was on sale for a great price. The only bad thing is it's one of those cancelled before it should have been series.
