I researched just about every PS/2 KVM switch on the market and was ready to by a Belkin before I spotted the IOGEAR GCS82B switch. I went with the IOGEAR because it offered everything I needed in a KVM switch and it also comes with all the cables you need for operation. It only took a few minutes to set up the device and it works like a champ. I don't even need to keep it on my desk because of the hotkey keyboard operation. Clicking either the left or right "Control" key twice switches between the two computers flawlessly. I don't really have a need for the auto-scan feature but if I did, it would be my only complaint. The instructions claim a 5 second auto-scan time but when implemented, it switches between my two PC's every two seconds, barely enough time to see what is on the screen. If given the chance, would I buy this switch again....you bet. I could have spent more to allow USB and/or audio sharing but that would have been overkill for my needs. One more note but hardly a make or break point, the two port unit is very small and stylish, a nice complement to any computer setup.

I have not tried any other KVM switches, but we have bought five of these (four 2-port and one 4-port) and have absolutely no complaints. It is simple to use and has been completely reliable. I know this is what everyone else is saying, but I just wanted to add one more vote of confidence to an excellent product.

Product Overview

A faster Way To Connect! Once again, IOGEAR raised the bar on quality KVMs. These desktop PS/2 KVMs feature the latest in micro-design and technology. Setup is fast and easy; simply plug cables into their appropriate ports. The 2 PS/2 console ports are on the front of the unit for easy and convenient access. IOGEAR's MiniView SE GCS82B provides two convenient methods to access the connected computers: use push-button selection switches, located on the unit's front panel; or type Hot Key combinations from the keyboard. There is no better way to save time and money than with IOGEAR's MiniView SE GCS82B.
