Great for teaching American history
They don't make kids' videos like this anymore. The year is 1773, the place is Boston, and the mood is revolutionary. Young Johnny Tremain is an apolitical silversmith's apprentice until a challenging work assignment prompts him to seek the professional advice of Paul Revere, who is huddled in a secret meeting of the Sons of Liberty as they plot the overthrow of the British. Johnny is converted to their cause. We see the Boston Tea Party and Lexington and Concord through his adolescent eyes.
