Time-Lapse REC

Time-Lapse REC records one frame at a time at set intervals (1sec.–80sec.). So you can watch movement that's hours long in just a few seconds when played back. It's great when you want to observe an event that takes place over a long period of time or to record unique-looking scenes in a creative way.

Auto REC

When a subject enters the camcorder's detecting area and the luminance changes, recording starts automatically. Recording continues as long as there is movement within the area and automatically stops after 5 seconds of no movement. Use the GZ-HM450like a surveillance camera or to record events unattended. Just say cheese! The Smile Meter keeps an eye on how much your subjects are smiling, giving you a % display. With Smile Shot, the GZ-HM450 automatically takes a picture (in video mode) every time the smile % reaches a certain level. It's a great way to take group shots filled with smiling faces.
