A former journalist, Dorothy Garlock is the author of several popular romance novels. Although Garlock began her career writing contemporary romantic novels, she has found her greatest success in creating historical romances, many of which are set in America during the frontier period and during the Great Depression. She was named Outstanding Western Writer by Romantic Times magazine in 1986.
