Now there's a Bluetooth adapter so small it can stay in your USB port for instant connectivity anytime, anywhere. Use it to transfer files, synchronize contact and calendar information with your PDA or smart phone, print or fax, connect a keyboard or mouse and much more wirelessly.
Difficult to work with Windows Starter 711/4/2010
It says on Microsoft's website that it is supported with built-in drivers, but that's only half the story. Yes, Windows knows what the product is, yes it self-installs, but it still has some issues: ..... I use it with a bluetooth stereo headphone and it has difficulty re-connecting. I'm guessing after researching the issue, that most other people have the general issue with bluetooth accessories. ..... The quickest way - which is not quick and not very convenient - is to unplug the bluetooth accessory from the usb port and replug it in every time you want to use it. ..... Works every time, but what a pain.
Great BlueTooth adaptor10/18/2010
Installed real easy on Win/XP on Dell D620. My D620 came without BT. Added this and can now communicate with phone.
Way too cumbersome10/18/2010
I bought this adapter to wirelessly sync my nokia E71. Somehow this device is not supported by windows 7 which forces the user to install the ridiculously round about and complicated blue-tooth software. To transfer a file to my phone I had to use an application that repeatedly failed telling me that it had failed to acquire the folder list. I was able to copy files using Ubuntu (which required no additional software). However, the transfer rate was 137kb/s which is much slower than I had anticipated the speed to be.There are often deals on off brand dongle's available online for around $1. I see no reason to pay $15 extra just for the kensignton logo.
This presenter fits perfectly for me, works as represented. I like that it has an on/off switch to save the battery and really like the button to hide the presentation. I have found the laser button a bit fussy. Nice carrying case.
