The ServicePoint 2020-tm is used where a DSU/CSU already exists, either stand-alone or integrated in the router. The 2020 T1 Probe SDU connects to a T1 router interface. A Service-Point -tm SDU is typically deployed at the hub site for gathering WAN delay statistics for comprehensive traffic analysis and troubleshooting.
The monitoring functions provide reporting and diagnostic functions to determine the quality of service from the physical level all the way up to the application level. The control function provides the ability to manage bandwidth at the application level.
