Customer Reviews of Kingston 16GB Class 10 120X Ultimate Secure Digital High Capacity SDHC Flash Card
Works Great - So Far12/9/2010
I got this card to use with a Pentax digital SLR camera. My previous card was not fast enough to record HD video with the camera or photos at the highest speed possible. I am not sure what the actual speed is, but it is a lot faster than the class6 card I was using. I can now capture HD video without any problem. So far I have not experienced any problem with this card and am very pleased with the performance and the price.
Stay Away from this product10/27/2010
Stay as far away from this product as possible. To be fair I have used other kingston products in the past without issues. However there is clearly something wrong with this product. I jumped on board because of the price before doing any research. After getting the card it worked for 1 day, (that's right). Not even a day a few hrs. It went completely dead and I lost all of my son's soccer game and some pictures taken before the game. To say the least I was very frustrated because I blamed the camera I was using. I tried a non kingston card and the camera worked fine. Tried the card in many other devices with no luck. I then went online to find some information and I saw some of the reviews on others sites. Exactly the same problem I saw was happening to others, just wished I did my homework before purchasing this defective product. Its a shame that these sites are still selling this card when so many people are having issues. I should have known that the price was to good to be true. On a good note I already have my RMA in hand and will be returning this device for a FULL refund. I hope some of you avoid this hassle.
NOT an FXP solution for Canon Vixia HF10010/9/2010
The Class 6 SDHC cards that I purchased for my Canon Vixia HF100 cannot /quite/ handle the thruput required for HD Mode (FXP). I ordered one of these Kingston Class 10 with the hope of finally being able to create some non-stuttery, non-pixellated FXP footage. After initiallizing the card I tried to set the digicam to FXP Mode and received a message that the camera would not work with this card in FXP Mode ... so the card is going back (thanks for the painless Return, Buy.com!) and I will continue my search.
