Customer Reviews of Kingston DataTraveler 108 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Should've bought more!12/21/2013
I bought two for my wife and daughter each last April. They love it and they are still using it!
This thing is perfect. It is a great size easy to carry around and use.
It depends on USB port. Make a note.7/24/2012
This USB drive is small and portable. It is a good device to carry in your pocket, or attach it to your key chain. So, it is a good backup device for emergency. There are two warnings however. (1). The drive is small and it requires you to flip the cover to open it. You need to be careful to open and close the cover. Otherwise, the cover can be broken easily. (2). This drive is not like the other USB drive in term of power dependency. This drive may not work on some USB ports. (I had to do some research and finally found this answer in Kingston's web site). For some computers, the front USB port is not powerful enough for this USB drive. So, you need to use the port in the rear of the computer for this USB drive. Or you can use an extension cord to attach to the rear of tUSB he computer. (You can't tell whether the front port would work, until you actually attach this drive to it.
Stopped working after first couple of uses.7/19/2012
It only worked for a couple of times. After that it stopped working. It does not even show up in MacbookPro and also not in my Windows 7 laptop. Waste of money.
This is a wonderful little USP drive. I like that it is small, so it is easier to carry around. It is very easy to put and take stuff on and of the drive. The one thing I would change, is the USP drive's plastic covering. I think that it was a wonderful price.
Worked as expected5/25/2012
Had no problems with using the flash drive. Just plugged it in and could copy the files easily. At first, I noticed that the available capacity is slightly more than 14 GB even though the drive capacity is marked as 16GB. Later I realized that the preloaded urDrive software consumed a little more than 1GB space. But I could not copy more than 9 GB. Not sure if the number of files that can be copied is limited.
5.0 out of 5 stars It's good. It works. It's cool.5/16/2012
This review is just to say that this model of USB drive, along with its different-colored and sized brothers, is NOT hard to open. At all. There is a small thumb-nail notch at the opening end (on the very end of the black part). Just look more closely: you'll see it. Open it right up: it's perfectly easy!
I think Kingston knocked it out of the park with this one. Its not heavy at all but sturdy, thin, very fast (14 Mb/s) and has the protective cover. The ring could be a little bigger. love it and would surely reccomend you to buy the product and enjoy it for less price
Works like a dream, no complaints at all. Just need to find a good carry case for it.
small with lots of capacity
I have no doubt about the quality, it being Kingston, but delivery is already a day late and still nothing from USPS
Best Valued Flash Drive4/18/2012
Kingston has by far been the most reliable memory manufacturer for decades. I've purchased many of these drives for personal and business purposes with great luck. The best thing about this specific flash drive is the price! Great job Buy.com
I think Kingston knocked it out of the park with this one. Its not heavy at all but sturdy, thin, very fast (14 Mb/s) and has the protective cover. The ring could be a little bigger. love it and would surely reccomend you to buty the product and enjoy it for less price
Small size and more capacity... Liked it a lot
The connector is mostly plastic, but protected by a metal piece. Sturdier than expected, and very light.
Very small and fits will in my key ring. Pre-installed with urDrive software. Installs easily.
Great little guy8/17/2011
I bought this thumb drive to replace a Sandisk Blade thumb drive that was slow (4 Mb/s) and kinda flimsy. I think Kingston knocked it out of the park with this one. Its not heavy at all but sturdy, thin, very fast (14 Mb/s) and has the protective cover. The ring could be a little bigger. The urDrive didnt start right away on Win 7, but i dont really care, I need the space, not the software.
My favorite jump drive7/31/2011
Very nice. Compact but protected by a flip cover. Definitely the best jump drive for a key ring that I have purchased.
