Great value for 50X card.

-Pana quote

I own more than a dozen CF cards, and had a preference for the Sandisk 1GB Ultra III's - mainly due to the read/write speed. For outright working, these Kingston Elite Pro 2GB cards (bought a pair back in January 2005 while the first rebate was in effect) have not dissappointed me once. Yes it takes a fraction of a second for my cameras to write buffer contents to the card, but never has it actually slowed down my shooting! Face it, the buffer in most digi-SLR models now is more than sufficient for even my heavy shutter finger. On a recent 6 day assignment in Mexico, I shot 2,365 RAW CR2 images with my Canon 20D, and several hundred grab shots with a G3. Each morning I started out filling the Kingston 2gig Elite pro cards first due to the convenience factor, then went to the Sandisk 1gig cards for the 20D. I used 256GB Kingstons in the G3. The only file corruptions I experienced were on my oldest Sandisk - All the Kingstons trudged along dutifully without a single hiccup. They have proven reliable and I'm ordering another pair to take advantage of this new rebate. BTW - I reformat all my cards in the camera they are assigned to, after having transferred/verified all files to my Dell Latitude Notebook PC. I always power down the camera before opening the CF card compartment and/or changing a card.
