Very useful device!
I bought a couple of these to use for backups and offline storage. So far they seem to be working great. I really like using these bays because it is just like using an internal drive - no special drivers or formatting. I also have one of Kingwin's more elaborate models that has onboard cooling fan. It works fine, too, but since I don't work my drives that hard, I decided these simpler ones are fine at half the price. I would love to elaborate more, but there is not much to say. Screw the Kinwin rack into a 5.25" bay. Plug in SATA power and data cables. Slide in a drive. That's it. Well, you may have to go into Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management to partition and format the drive so it will show up in Windows Explorer. I know that's basic, but sometimes I even forget momentarily and think there is something wrong when I don't see the new drive right away. Guess I'm getting old.
