|The Klipsch HD Theater 300 is a compact, high-definition 5.1 home theater system that’s simple to set up and use. It consists of five speakers—left, center and right front channels with two rear surrounds—and one powered subwoofer. |
Please note this system does not include an A/V receiver, speaker wire or a subwoofer cable.
Each main and surround speaker is a sealed enclosure finished in high-gloss black with a 2.5-inch IMG woofer and a MicroTractrix Horn-loaded 0.75-inch textile tweeter inside. The center channel shares the same driver attributes except it is magnetically shielded, so it won’t interfere with your TV picture.
But what makes these speakers and center channel truly unique is their horn-loaded technology, an exclusive design that has made Klipsch an industry leader for over 60 years. It allows the HD Theater 300 to deliver genuine lifelike sound and produce more output, using less energy. In other words, it doesn’t require a lot of amplifier power to drive it. Over half of all new theaters in North America and several other countries choose Klipsch professional products because of the amazing benefits of horn technology.
The speakers—which can be positioned vertically or horizontally—come with adjustable wall brackets that have a 40° range of motion and ¼-20 inserts for stand mounting. The center channel includes a cradle base that has a 45° range of motion. These qualities give you complete installation flexibility when placing this premium home theater in your room.
The subwoofer delivers room-shaking bass thanks to a powerful amplifier and a 6.5-inch driver. Featuring a sleek black pica vinyl finish, this hard-hitter also includes traditional volume, crossover and phase controls, so you can customize the level of bass for your room.
Sound accounts for half of your home theater experience, whether you’re watching a movie or sporting event—or even playing a video game. Your TV is only one piece of the puzzle. It’s the audio that drives the action, creates the mood and brings your video content to life. So, make the HD Theater 300 part of your home entertainment today.
Get the most out of your flat-screen TV with the HD Theater 300 . It delivers the sheer power, detail and emotion of every film, music or video game soundtrack.

Customer Reviews of Klipsch HDT-300 5.1 High Definition Home Theater Speaker System with Subwoofer (Black)
The speakers sound incredible! I've got them wall mounted, and they are very small and unobtrusive. They've handled everything that I have thrown at them, from U2 CDs to Blu-ray movies to streaming music on Pandora. I'm thinking about picking up two more of the satellites to use for a Zone 2, since my receiver can handle that! I would definitely buy them again if I had to rebuild my home theater setup. Also, many electronics store (including Best Buy) carry these speakers, so you can listen to them before you buy them!
This is an awesome system! The whole setup is simple, not quite "plug-n-play", but easy to put together without a headache. For those who are looking for a great range of sound, well represented for almost any situation, I would definitely recommend this system.
Excellent entry level speaker system6/10/2012
This system used with the Yamaha RX-V565 receiver is a great entry level speaker/receiver combo! Great product!! I say buy it!
I picked these speakers up along with a new receiver. Right away I loved the home theater experience. The dialogue comes through crystal clear and the bass is nice and tight. On top of the movie experience, the real bright spot is the music experience. Pop a music DVD in and these speakers bring it to life. I can't say enough about how these speakers have improved my home theater experience!
Small Package - BIG SOUND!6/1/2012
Great for smaller rooms, crisp, clean,Thunderous Bass. Klipsch’s HD Theater 300 system features a sleek high-gloss satin black finish on each of the six speaker components included with this home theater speaker package, making them an excellent match for a flat-panel HDTV set.
I picked this speaker combo up with the Harmon Kardon AVR-1600 that Amazon was running a deal on. I must say I've always wanted Klipsch floorstanding speakers, but cost (at this point in my life...post college age) has prohibited me from purchasing. When I saw this deal on Klipsch speakers I jumped to the opportunity. I took two days to run all of the speaker wires through the walls of my house (living room) and mount the front three speakers on the front wall, and the back two speakers on the ceiling beside our couch. I used 16 guage wire from the local "BB" big box store. I ran my AVR-1600s "mic" to our listening position, ran the setup test, and threw in the movie Clash of the Titans on Blue Ray. I could tell I was outputting the audio in Dobly Prologic II and or Dobly DTS sound, via my receiver, and it sounded awesome! I watch movies through my PS3, to my receiver, and to my Sony KDLXBR5. I can't say enough about how good the sound with these speakers sounded to me. I realize that they're not the best you can buy by any means, but they sound very clear. The bass at first sounded a bit weak at times so I moved it farther to the right, within a foot of the 'right' wall and now it sounds great!
Very happy with the product5/18/2012
The sound is amazing, no problems with the sub-woofer either. The set up was easy.
Can't wait to get these installed full time1/11/2012
I picked these up on sale and ran a quick test to make sure these were functional before the return window closed as I am in the process of remodeling the entertainment area. Needless to say I am amazed. I have been using the built in speakers of my LCD and thought that was fine. Was I wrong. I can wait to get these up and running full time. I am no audiophile, but the bass was killer and I am impressed with the sound quality of these. Once these are up and operating full time I'll try to post a follow up.
EXCELLENT product, great sound11/22/2011
Easy to set up this product but be reminded that wires/cables do not come in the box. This is actually a good thing as you would rather buy your own cables (ie 16 gauge wires for the speakers, and high quality for subwoofer). The sound on these are great, but I must say I haven't done any full quality testing. I use my own front tower speakers as I had already bought these, but when I set these up instead as a trial they sound even better. Satellites sound great, and the center is very crisp. At first I thought I couldn't hear the subwoofer, but the other day I started feeling my couch vibrate and almost felt sick. Had to actually turn the subwoofer level down! I live in an apartment so couldn't set up wires through the wall or install the speaker onto the wall. So I bought generic speaker stands, and was able to set up the surrounds easily (one screw in the back of the speaker). Knowning I have front tower speakers, eventually I may use this to set up a 7.1 system, which would be an amazing setup for any home theater. Placing the subwoofer on any wall was great. Surrounds at different locations all produced great sound. This set was on sale when I bought it, at an unbelievable price for this quality of speakers. I'm really glad I bought them, and can't wait to have a bunch of guests over to have a reason to really increase the volume...
