You will not get your rebate2/15/2008
KWorld is well known of not honoring their rebates and Buy.com is no help in this regards. So if you are going to buy any KWorld product, do not count on getting the rebate.
Evaluate based on full price - not after rebate2/12/2008
Image quality and bundled software well below that of comparably priced products from Hauppauge or VisionTek. Use the full price of this item toward a DVR from a reputable manufacturer. The odds are greatly against you ever seeing a rebate from K-world.
This thing is garbage. If you like fuzzy image then this is the unit for you! Please don't buy this because you will be very sorry. Actually you can buy mine off me because it is sitting in a box.
Impossible to get KWorld rebates11/30/2007
If you're buying 'coz the Kworld rebates, just forget it! I've had bad experience in getting KWorld rebates. They find every excuse to not paying you the rebate, even when you report to BBB. I faxed and mailed them but didn't get my two rebates at all. Just check out BBB report of KWorld.
Almost sent this back, but happy now6/26/2006
The card installed without a hitch, but then I loaded the software. My machine was well above the requirements, and the software installed without error. But when I tried to open the Home Theater, the drive would churn for about a minute and nothing. I tried re-installing with the virus protection turned off. Still the same. I sent an email to the company support (You fill out an online form), but no response. I was ready to request an RMA, when I added an additional drive that I received that morning. I also received a DVD which I watched. With the Windows Media still open and the new drive formatted and ready to go, I thought I would give the Home Theater program one more try, and what do you know? The first time configuration came up and after going through the settings, I was able to get the Home Theater to run! I don't know if the problem was too little drive space (14gig free on one drive, 18 gig free on the other, 300 on the new), or if the Windows Media Player (Beta 11) was a factor. Anyway, it works fine now.
