Product Description L.A. Noire is a gritty, single player detective game set on the infamous streets and in the smoke-filled back rooms of post-war Los Angeles. Designed and developed with a nod to the classic film noire movie genre, L.A. Noire blends crystal clear graphics that bring the iconic look and feel of the era to life, with a combination of innovative technology and unique gameplay that allow you to solve crimes through interrogations and investigation. Additional features include: five LAPD based crime desks to work, the ability to analyze the case as well as suspects for clues, an accurate block-by-block recreation of eight sq miles of 1947 Los Angeles, multiple difficulty settings and more.

L.A. Noire is a terrific game, but it is an odd duck for a Rockstar game. Don’t go in expecting Grand Theft Auto IV or Red Dead Redemption, and you’ll be fine. L.A. Noire looks like its predecessors. It reproduces a great swath of 1947 Los Angeles in astonishing detail, and you can explore every inch of it, right from the start. There are 94 different cars ranging from milk trucks to a cherry Chrysler Woody to carry you around the city. And don’t forget the gunplay. There’s plenty of that, too....read the full review
DigitalChumps 10 of 10 L.A. Noire is everything that people expected it to be. It has a fantastic set of stories that drive the game from beginning to end, beautifully motion captured actors and enough gameplay elements to keep the gamer deeply involved. On top of this there is a large city to explore and enjoy. Rockstar certainly brought the goods with this one. - NathanielStevens
The plot in this game isn't something new. Allowing the user to be the police officer, and a good one, is for the most part new. There is almost an RPG like feel to the game, with long dialog while you're interrogating people. This may come off as boring to some, but I assure you the scenes aren't just fillers. They're fun, interesting, integral parts of the whole plot.
This is one of the best that you will find. Fun and exciting in an openworld. There are lots to do in this game. Graphics are good as well as the voice acting. When you start expericing the worderful rated M (language and brief nudity) game you will not be disappointed. Game play is only limited to the gamer.
I think this game can be a bit tedious at times, but overall it is fun. Highlights include the graphics, story, and interrogation sequences. The open-ended part of the game keeps it very interesting and adds some very good replay value. Would definately recommend to fans of the genre.
I loved the concept, I loved the narration, I loved the atmosphere and the voice actors. It looked nice too. The problem was the execution. I thought interrogation process was flawed. You were supposed to "read" their facial expressions, but I thought the system was bonked because it seemed random at times.
The game is simply amazing. The graphics, setting, and city! What fun to be a detective. Easy achievement points as well, however, it can get tedious driving around and searching for clues, and then answering questions... Does get repetative after a while, but the story is definately engaging and I wanted it to last a bit longer!
While superficially similar in how the overworld works and how it is traversed LA Noire is a different beast altogether. The interrogation and investigative gameplay is both engrossing and very enjoyable. Of course, the most immediately striking thing is the stunning facial animations. Recommended even for people who don't play video games.
I just finished L.A.. Noire, and the only complaint I have is that I wanted it to be longer. The level of detail in this game is astounding.
Costumes, cultural references, and music, all help to transport the player to 1947. It helps that the script is far superior to most video games (several Mad Men actors lend their talents to the game).
The controls suffer from the same problems as the GTA games (camera trouble, gunfight aiming problems). These are minor issues for such a great game though.
"The game is in very good condition, contains very light/no scratches and contains the DISC ONLY. This item DOES NOT include the instruction manual and original box. This game is used and the disc may occasionally contain stickers etc."
