The LaCie Rikiki USB 3.0 combines the fastest interface on the market with perfect portability. The tough aluminum casing combines form and function; it withstands bumps and jolts, but its sophisticated style sets it apart from other mobile hard drives. With interface speeds up to 5Gb/s and capacities available up to 1TB, it offers desktop-sized storage in a pocket-sized product. Best of all, it's backward-compatible with USB 2.0, which means connectivity is never an issue.
Customer Reviews of LaCie Rikiki 1TB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive
High quality and good performance11/20/2013
I bought this drive a couple of months ago, and it's been working perfectly. It comes with all the necessary cables, it's powered by the computer, and it's a true plug-and-play device. Very simple to set up and even simpler to use.
I needed to set up backup for my work computer, and this drive turned out to be the perfect solution - it's compact, efficient and reliable. I love the brushed metal enclosure, it looks great on my desk.
Great value, compact size6/29/2013
I am not technical but was easy to install and run backup. Price, quality and shipping are all excellent values.
Very good build quality and drive is in small form factor. I have Lenovo Y550P, which not have USB3.0 , but drive is fast with USB2.0. I also have iOmega external drive, but lacie is better in size and fast to take whole system backup. It comes with software which take whole system backup very easily. Recommended to everyone.
Great Product. Great Price.6/20/2012
Bought this drive after reviewing several other drives. It definitely didn't disappoint. It's speed definitely kept up with my other drives. I transferred all of my files over and backed up my Macbook in no time at all. Lacie never disappoints. I have a few of their drives so far and will stick with them. Solid products. They always look pretty too. Haha.
I'm impressed with style and performance6/19/2012
With a beautiful and compact outer case, this drive works as promised. I considered that the competitors had that same amount of space, in a larger case and cost a little more too, the LaCie won me over. The USB3 works really fast during transfers and performance with USB2 is still good. Full sized backup drives are gigantic compared to this one. That is something you can appreciate if you are mobile.
