When people stare into Lollipop's bright, intelligent eyes, it somehow changes them for the better. But can Lollipop win over the spoiled Princess Penelope - and her not-so-pig-friendly parents, the King and Queen? With humorous black-and-white illustrations by Jill Barton, Dick King-Smith's tale about a special pig - and some memorable humans, too - will delight his legions of loyal fans!A quick-witted swineherd and a pig named Lollipop are royally rewarded after they reform a spoiled princess. |
Annotation:
A spoiled princess insists on an unusual gift for her eighth birthday--a pig. Reluctantly, her parents give in to her request and summon all the pigs in the kingdom so that their princess can select the very best, most attractive pig. However, the princess selects a rather ugly pig whom she names Lollipop. Will Lollipop be a good addition to the palace? Line illustrations accompany the text.
