Law Criminals (1938)

Editor's Note This western finds a bunch of settlers facing some terrifying foes as they try to make a home for themselves. Beset by villainous characters in the dead of night, the settlers encounter murder and countless threats to their lives, then discover that the bunch of miscreants who torment them are intent on possessing the land on which they dwell. An attempt to take the case to court results in further bloodshed when the president of the court is mysteriously murdered, but justice may prevail if they can get the case to go ahead, leading to some nail-biting final moments in this film from director William Nigh.
