Great bag !!!5/19/2012
There are a million laptop backpacks out there. I got this one because it's checkpoint friendly - saves on needing 2 additional bins at the airport. Has plenty of pockets, shoulders straps are comfortable enough. Good padding and fit for laptop and accessories. The Swiss Gear brand lives up to it's reputation.

Great all around backpack2/26/2012
This backpack is big enough to hold lots of things and I take it everywhere! to work, when I travel, and also when I'm out and about. The backpack is on the heavier side so my wife doesn't like using it but it is build very well. I like using the small pocket in the middle part of the bag. I use it to store my wallet and other things that I need to take in and out.
Nice, Sturdy but a bit heavy7/13/2011
I bought this to replace my 10-year old Targus backpack. The backpack is very well made and nice touch. The only complain I have is that it is about 1/2 lb heavier than my older one.
I had a Jansport Air Cure before. This one is better in terms of quality but also heavier.
Great Backpack - Video and Tech Specs Misleading4/8/2011
Though I find this a great backpack because it contains a lot of cool features like the checkpoint friendly design, key ring clip, and a padded pocket for items which need a little bit more protection (e.g. phone), both the video and product information on the Buy.com product page are a little misleading. They both indicate that there is a "Quik Pocket" w/ iPod/MP3 pocket allowing you to "stream your tunes while you are on the go" .... this pocket doesn't seem to exist as far as I can see unless the padded pocket is the "Quik Pocket". Other than that, it's a great design. Design Suggestion: Earphone cable access allowing you listen to your iPod while safely protected inside.
One of the best backpack1/19/2011
I carry two laptops and two chargers with me. One is 15.4 and other is 14.1. This backpack you can carry all this without any shape change. Well made and best backpack I owned.
It does what it's asked.1/5/2011
There are 3 compartments to this bag. The closest to you back is intended for a laptop. The next is intended for actually carry items and then the front pocket has the usual accessories (ie key ring clip). Very comfortable for long commutes. Checkpoint bag does work as advertised. Only one complaint: the plastic (top)handle is already cracked in several places (one week in). All seams appear to still be intact.
Attractive design, useful organizing pockets, good padding for a laptop, nice cushy pouch on top for mobile phones or MP3 players, comfortably shoulder straps and the zippers are smooth as butter. The double-handle grab is great for quick grab-n-go without worrying about stuff falling out because it's not zipped. I do wish that the non-laptop compartment was bigger, but it's sufficient for its intended purpose.
I purchased this back pack or one very similar about 2 years ago. I was very surprised of how well it helps to keep things organized. It works very well with my 15.6" Toshiba laptop, it holds very secure and the backpack is well padded. It is comfortable to carry even with a heavy load of school books in it. I carry it with me everyday to work and I have not had any problems out of it yet.
The bag turned out as good as expected. However, my personal impression that are outlined below are swayed heavily by an old bag I still use - an Adidas backpack from over 12 years ago (not a laptop bag!) The Legacy backpack looks great, feels pretty durable and sturdy, and has the right color combo for me. It has a convenient leather(ish?) bottom, so when I put it on the ground it can be washed off. I generally stuff my packs to the limit, and while there is plenty of volume in this one, compartments are organized not that efficiently. There is a poor provision for modern phones (small pocket) and rather inconvenient space for a wallet (deep and tight packet). Perhaps I just need to get used to it. I am not sure if the checkpoint-friendly piece will work as expected in the airport - to be tested in a month. Note, that I have also looked at some less expensive versions of Swiss Gear - inferior quality!!! - so know that you are getting a descent backpack all-around in this version.
