Lemony Snicket grew up near the sea and currently lives beneath it. To his horror and dismay, he has no wife or children, only enemies, associates, and the occasional loyal manservant. His trial has been delayed, so he is free to continue researching and recording the tragic tales of the Baudelaire orphans.
Author Bio
Lemony Snicket
Lemony Snicket is the notorious pen name of Daniel Handler, author of the enormously popular, extremely funny Series of Unfortunate Events books. Handler went to Wesleyan University, and resides in the city of his birth, San Francisco. Under his name, he has written adult novels, including THE BASIC EIGHT, WATCH YOUR MOUTH, and ADVERBS.

Praise

Entertainment Weekly
"Sure, the whole thing is a bit of a vanity project, a bizarre exercise in style and trickery, but it will whet the appetites of fans as they wait for the ninth book. Newcomers, though, should start with THE BAD BEGINNING." - Karen Valby 06/05/2002

Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books
"Readers will need to start with the Snicket novels to appreciate this work, but there's plenty of satiric humor here (including a parody book jacket for a less traumatic volume), and the cornucopia of elements will lure Snicket fans." - Janice M. Del Negro July/August 2002
