Customer Reviews of Lexar 8GB ( 2 x 4GB ) JumpDrive FireFly USB 2.0 Flash Drive - 2 Pack
Great Tiny USB Drive10/25/2008
We purchased these after I had the Kodak 1GB version (same brand, just different label) and had absolutely no problems with it for a year. My husband had another (popular) brand 4GB drive and it would error out and Windows would not be able to recognize the drive after a couple of minutes. So far, we've been very pleased with these 4GB drives. We've had no errors & they're little enough to fit into any pocket.
Small size a plus10/8/2008
I've been using Lexar Jumpdrives for years and tend to purchase that brand over others. I've never had any problems with any version and particularly like the Firefly size (very small). I also like the new Secure II software that comes with the newer jumpdrives that can be installed on most other Lexar brand jumpdrives. I installed it on my Firefly jumpdrive and it works very well. Nice to be able to make some of the data secure if the drive is lost.
Cheap and functional. Very small package for 4 gB flash drive.....happy
Lexar jumpdrive firefly drives are great!9/29/2008
I purchased the two pack of 4GB Lexar JumpDrive FireFly. The purchase price for both drives was less than the price for one 4GB Lexar JumpDrive from one of the large discount stores. Plus Buy.com gave me free shipping and handling. Additionally, there was no sales tax. I tested the JumpDrives as soon as they arrived. I am very pleased with the performance of the product. I loaded 4GB of photographs onto the drive reviewed the photos then removed them. I repeated this process for both jumpdrives and they worked perfectly. I own Lexar professional grade SD memory cards for my digital camera and felt very comfortable ordering the jumpdrives. Buy.com delivered what I ordered at the price advertised. I am very pleased with their service.
Excellent Flash Drives!5/5/2008
Worked perfectly out of the box without having to be format'd. This is a first, their actual storage capacity exceeds the rated 4GB! The snap on cap fits good-n-snug.
I got the best USB Flash Drive8/7/2007
I am absolutely convinced that the Lexar 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive is a unit with great technical design, it really fullfills all my spectations and got it at a very good price. I got 4 units, 1 for myself, 1 for each of my 2 sons and the last for a friend who is pretty well envolved in computer matters. Every one of them is also happy with my gift.
Compact and fast8/6/2007
The Lexar Jumpdrive FireFly works very well. It was fast and the drive was compact. The only shortcoming was there was no type of lanyard to attach to the drive. I would buy them again.
A very good jump drive - GREAT Value8/5/2007
I've used many jump drives and this one has some excellent features: It's very small with a high capacity (4GB). Installation was flawless, as expected. For the price, this is an outstanding drive. I did NOT test the speed scientifically, but this drive seems a bit slower than others I've used. It didn't bother me though and I'd recommend this drive to anyone.
At the top of the list7/16/2007
The first USB drive I ever purchased was a Lexar JumpDrive Secure 256MB. Like my first one, these two perform just like it -- perfectly right out of the gate. I plug them in, wait a few seconds to get recognized by the OS (Windows XP SP2) and they're good to go. Typically I have to wait a bit longer for my PNY 2GB Attache (2nd on my list). The drive is incredibly small so I could very easily plug it in and forget it was there if I were to close the front USB panel door on my Dell Optiplex GX260. They're better in the physical design more slender compared to my wider 256MB which helps in plugging these drives in tight spaces. I only gave it a low score of 1 because I managed to get these drives for $25.00 each after rebate. I'd say wait for sale to get these, but if you can't wait you won't be sorry about their performance. Also these drives have no security software to protect your data. If they're lost, your saved data is out in the open so don't lose them or leave them plugged in the PC.
