I originally bought a 256MB 32x speed Lexar SD card with my digital camera (both from BUY.COM) and it works great. I wanted more storage to be able to take more photos while away from home so I got this 512MB card and eventhough it isn't a 32x speed like my first card, I don't notice any slower response in my digital camera. A very good buy.
I bought this SD card trusting the Lexar brand because I've used their JumpDrives for several years with no problems whatsoever. I have to say that even after six months, this SD card still upholds that great reputation. For my 4MPixel Kodak camera, 512MB gives me about 620 pictures or 30+ minutes of video. I simply can't imagine needing more than that. One suggestion to other digital camera owners: if you don't like the download software that came with your camera, just buy a small card reader and it'll work like a USB flash drive. This is essential if you use Linux or other operating systems that the camera company is too lazy to support.
Similar in size to MultiMediaCards, Lexar Media Secure Digital (SD) Cards are designed for use in many digital devices including digital cameras, MP3 players, PDAs, cellular phones and camcorders.
The Lexar Media SD Cards have an erasure-prevention switch to keep your data safe. When the switch is in the locked position, it will stop you from accidentally copying over or deleting data stored on your card. Now you know your data will be safe.
Reliability and durability are critical to ensure your data is there when you need it. All Lexar Media SD Cards are tested and manufactured to the highest quality standard to assure you there is no need to worry about lost or missing data. With the small size and solid-state design of the SD Cards, they are perfect for mobile applications and users.
