|Is it a wall mount? Or something better?|
Keep your tabletops clear and uncluttered while enjoying the sleek installation of LG's EZ Slim Wall Mount for LG HDTVs. It sits close to the wall for unobtrusive styling, or you can angle it up, down, left or right for easier viewing.
EZ Slim Wall Mount For 47”, 46”, 42”, 37” Class TVs.
The mount is of excellent quality. Its better than any other brand mounts available. Only issue is the the screws and the warranty. While installation one of the screws broke and none of the local stores(home depot, menards, lowes, Ace) carried the same gauge of screws. Ordering a replacement was a pain as dealer said its manufacturer warranty and manufacturer said its dealer warranty. Finally had to buy a different size screw to install the bracket.
Excellent wall mount!2/8/2011
Just purchased this wall mount last and got it installed over a brick fireplace. The quality of this mount is really very good. Plus the benefit is that you can pull out, up/down, and sideways as well. Great mount for an even great price!
It does its job!1/20/2011
This mount is a great value, and I received it right when the merchant said I would. Geek Squad mounted my TV for me over my fireplace and they said the mount was pretty straightforward to use. They had to install the TV off-center though because the mount was not compatible with the distance between my studs; however, my house is very old and this might have been true of all tilting mounts. I wish that the mount allowed the TV to sit a little closer to the wall.
Great Mount, well worth it1/11/2011
I'm in my 20's & I bought this stand & put it up for my LG 47-inch TV. The mount itself is very durable, it's not a cheap mount. It has ways for you to level the TV out if it is a little off due to your mounting expertise. The movement is pretty smooth. It can move left to right, forward & backward, as well as up & down, all motions are covered with this mount. Great mount, you won't be sorry (I know there are a lot of mounts out there that make it hard to choose from).
LG Wall Mount1/1/2011
This is the wall mount that was recommended in the manual that came with my new LG 42" TV. The wall mount came with all necessary hardware, was easy for my husband to install and was a steal at under $40.00 with free ship and handle. I am extremely satisfied with this product.
I am going to have to give this mount five stars. It does what it is supposed to do. The installation was easy. The mounting holes are properly spaced to hit your standard stud spacing for a secure mounting. The mount allows the TV to be pulled out enough to get to the back of the TV and the mount tilts enough to allow viewing from many angles. It is a good sturdy product.
This TV mount was on sale for under $40 or so so I grabbed it. Where most mfrs used steel stampings on TV mounts, LG went with machined aluminum castings for the folding arms. Very rigid, very solid. Tilts, angles, moves in and out. A bit stiff to move but that will break in over time. Came with all necessary hardware including some niceties like right angle adapters for most phono, HMDI cables to allow flush mount.
Use different fasteners12/15/2010
I tried to use the screws that come with the wall bracket. The screw have an attached washer which is decent. most of the screw heads broke off as I began to tighten the screw head to the bracket. The screws are cheap and way to brittle to use. I went out to home depot and bought hardened steel lag screws and got the job done. My advice use different hardware.
Very well made12/15/2010
I have only one extremely minor quibble. On my particular unit, one of the level adjusting screws is extremely tight, and with the TV mounted, impossible to turn. The screw on the other side is more easily adjustable. That made it more of a hassle than it should be to get our TV 100% level. I would suggest working those screws a bit before putting the TV on. The unit itself is VERY well made, and operates very smoothly. Truly a thing of beauty to any hardware geek. Includes mounting hardware for both studs and masonry/drywall.
Extremely thin. Comes with lots of hardware and accessories (even pads for the corners of the TV). High quality and everything functions smoothly. Couldn't pass when I saw it for less than $40 with free shipping, it was a steal.
