A review for my Aunt Leila
Merry Christmas Eve I just wanted to say Merry Christmas and thank you for you New Book "Life Among The Pagans" I will cherish it forever... The part where you say “ I’m sure that it will not always be easy to figure out what is best to do, but remember how Empress Helena let people express their religion in their own way.” This touched me in my everyday life. I to believe we can respect other people’s religion. Eda’s parents are a prime example. Eda respects her parent’s beliefs and wants her parents to respect her new belief of Christianity and Muslimism together. She read that Mohammad taught that Christians’ should not convert to Muslim because they already believe in God. Well, Eda now truly believes that Jesus is the son of God, but also believes that a great man called Mohammad taught the way to God, and wrote what he heard from God, which was the Koran. I believe that both the bible and the Koran can be misinterpreted by the reader. I believe this because I see all type of religions that read different things in the bible and call themselves a separate religion. I believe that God is all knowing and will understand why Eda also believes in the Koran, because it did here country great loving deeds. It moved her country from believing in physical objects into a way of life of humanity and goodness. I do not see anyplace where it is written that Eda will be dammed. She believes Jesus is the Son of God and she does not believe in any other Gods. The Koran uses the 1st testament as its foundation as well as telling the Christian’s to not convert to Muslim since they already believe in God. Well any way’s I was thankful your fiction book uses the same logic, which is respect of other peoples beliefs.
