For charging? Yes. For audio? Not so much.
Received these cables last night and wanted to provide some quick feedback. Hopefully, it'll help others interested in trying generic vs. Apple brand. They both work great for charging my iPhone 5. The fit is good and the finish is okay. One comment on the adapter cable: it could be longer. It's only about 4", which could present problems when trying to hook it up to an audio player. But...that may not be an issue because, despite the Product Details indicating it "supports audio output," it so far has not supported audio output. I have a 2010 Audi with iPod adapter and with this connected, it does nothing. The car doesn't even know it's connected. Still, I can't say whether Apple's adapter would work any better. I've yet to try this adapter with portable audio systems that use the old 30-pin plug. Overall, not a bad deal if your goal is to gain an extra 8-pin charging cable and use your older 30-pin cables to charge your 8-pin products.
