Get GIGABIT on your notebook
My Winbook only has 10/100 Ethernet and WiFi B/G. I'm using my notebook as an internet web server now and as I access it frequently remotely (in the house behind the firewall) I wanted to speed things up. I got a Gigabit switch and a Linkstation Gigabit 320GB HD. They all play nice-nice together. The reason for the ease of use and overall satisfaction values being a 4 is because out of the box the adapter only wanted to talk at 100MB. Had to call Linksys and get them to tell me how to make it go to 1G. There's a setting in the properties that is by default set to autoset. I forced it to 1G. Works well that way.
