There are a few other companies that offer products like this. However the price was what caught my eye. I use this while I travel so I can charge my laptop, Palm, or my cell. Its great when I drive to SF (8 hour drive) the other people in my car can watch DVDs on my laptop without worrying about the power. I am pleased.

My wife and I have both used this adapter in our cars for various purposes: charging my shaver, and charging her car phone (when the standard 12 volt adapter could not be found). She's even used it to power her laptop while I was driving so she could catch up on some work. Overall, a very handy unit. We're considering getting another so we have one for each car (this one is shared for now). Flawless operation so far. Only complaint is the name label fell off; adhesive is not very good.
