had problems with setup, but it works
I expected getting the Harmony remote to work with a Harmony adapter would be easy, but it wasn't. First of all, the software for programming the remote doesn't list the Harmony adapter among the brands it supports; instead you choose Playstation 3, and then the software tells you that you need to buy the Harmony adapter, even though you already bought it. That was confusing. The PS3 had no difficulty recognizing the adapter. However, my Harmony One refused to transmit the right codes to the adapter. I had to call Logitech customer support three times; they remotely reprogrammed my Harmony One repeatedly, and the first two times nothing changed. It worked the third time, although the support tech said he hadn't done anything different; he had just repeated what they previous techs had done, and said sometimes you just have to keep trying. Now that the remote is working, I'm quite happy with it. If you can get yours working on the first try, great, but be warned that it might not be that simple.
