Tolkien must be rolling over in his grave6/3/2003
This game is decent, but it isnt all that. if you dont get tired of constantly fighting off hordes of orcs or Urk-hai than this is the game for you. Personaly, I got tired of the overwhelimg enemies hitting from all sides at all times, and always having to cover Frodo's butt. (You can only play as Aragon, Legolas, or Gimli.) movies in there, they didnt include anything from Return of The King. The graphics arent that great either. While they are better than PSone, the visuals are blown away by a game like grand theft auto vice city. If you are a die hard Tolkien fan, though, then go for it, as this game isnt all bad. I mean come on, Lord of the Rings just rocks.
AMAZING ADITION TO LOTR SERIES!2/3/2003
I played this game for the first time yesterday at my friends house and i have been aching to play it and my assumptions were correct, the game is unbelievable! The graphics are nothing short of impressive but then again it is PS2. The gameplay was surprisingly realistic. You can get in a fight with ten guys but unlike other games they will all attack you at the same time. I played it and i was a natural that is the only reason i put a 3 for dificulty. The thing I like most is the ability to pick your character before the start of a level. And all the players have there own awesome and even violent moves. You WILL get the main controls in about 2 minutes then you will be playing like a madman, or woman. Anyway I advise everyone to get this game escpecially for real LOTR's fans like me. I can't wait for the new movie! See you later. And have fun with all the different moves you can bust out on all the monsters.
Fun but Short12/22/2002
Lord of the rings: The Two Towers is a great game all in all. It doesn't just have the Two Towers though, you will find yourself playing through the Fellowship of the Ring (the first Lord of the Rings) also which I thought was very cool. I loved the battle system and the graphics are awesome. The only set back is this game is too short! It will only take an hour or two to complete it with one of the characters. It has some unlockables which are kinda worth playing the game a few more times. Two of the main unlockables are a secret level and character that you get to use. There are a few more but they are really just commentary and that kinda stuff. Each character hs a few different types of fighting so it might be interesting to check out each. This will probably max you out to around 8 to 10 hours of total gameplay. Of course, you might just wanna play it again to beat the crap out of something. Well, this is a great game. It just needs to be longer.
I got to play the demo of this game at E3 this year. I can honestly say, without hyperbole, that this is going to be the best game to date. The gameplay is phenominal - I learned the major controls in about 45 seconds, and the graphics blow you away. There is even footage from LOTR:TTT embedded in the game. You MUST buy this one.
